yonka!
ok so boom....
Born and raised predominantly on the West Side of Chicago, Bianca (McNutt) Thomas — or technically, Dr. Bianca Thomas — grew up in a two-parent household where church on Sundays, hard work, education, and strong moral values were a way of life. Her parents, still together after 36 years of marriage, raised Bianca and her two younger siblings with love, structure, and high expectations. Excellence wasn’t optional — it was instilled.
From the age of two, Bianca’s voice became her outlet. She sang in the church choir on and off throughout childhood and adulthood, always aware that music was part of her soul. But life had other plans for her first. Driven, compassionate, and deeply committed to helping others, she became a professional Rehabilitation Counselor and earned a Doctorate in Human Services with a specialization in Leadership and Organizational Management.
She is also the founder and CEO of ReZealience Management LLC, a boutique disability consulting firm devoted to promoting, empowering, and providing vital resources to people with disabilities so they can have equal access to meaningful work and live their lives to the fullest. Through this work, she helps both the world — and individuals — see beyond the disability.
In July 2019, she married the love of her life and embraced her role as a wife and bonus mom to six beautiful children. But their love story was met with tragedy just months earlier — in December 2018, her husband suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke that completely disabled him. Overnight, Bianca made the selfless decision to put her career and music dreams on hold. She quit her city job in public affairs, paused her doctoral studies, and became his full-time caregiver.
What appeared to be a devastating pause became a profound turning point. In that quiet, painful season, Bianca began writing. Two albums’ worth of music poured out of her — songs rooted in love, grief, strength, and transformation. Songs that could no longer stay silent.
And now, it’s Yonka’s time.
Yonka is the complete opposite of Dr. Bianca Thomas.
She’s not the polished professional. Not the therapist, the wife, the caretaker, or the church girl. Yonka is the release — the voice Bianca kept tucked away to survive. She’s fearless, animated, energetic, and undeniably real. She’s the bold side every woman has within her but rarely unleashes. The wild card. The truth teller. The part of you that refuses to play small.
Where Dr. Thomas nurtures others, Yonka sets herself free.
Half lady, half beast — and fully in her season — Yonka is no longer waiting for permission.
She’s here. She’s ready. And she’s giving it everything she’s got.
